Who's the girl behind the lens you ask? My name is Rachel Horst and this is my little dream come true. Photography started as a hobby for me and in 2016 became a fun side gig. Now, it's my full time job (my boss is pretty cool)! I'm married to my high school sweetheart and have two amazing sons that I'm super proud of. I love using light to create eye catching images whether it's in that golden hour glow or spotlighting you in the gym. I pride myself in giving you the best experience that tells your story by capturing unique images you will love forever. All of this, plus a whole lot of my sarcastic wit thrown in, cause that's how I roll.

There is one place for me that just can't be beat. New York City. There's nothing like the energy, the lights, the excitement of what dreams may become realities. NYC holds a special place in my heart during part of my "former life" as an aspiring ballerina. Lots of hours were spent at auditions and classes, with blood sweat and tears, dreaming in this city. It will forever be my town. This brings me to the reason why I love to photograph seniors. I get how hard they work, how passionate they are about their futures and I want nothing more than to show this in their images. Bringing that emotion to life is what it's all about.

If you don't find me tromping through a gorgeous flower field or laying on the street trying to get the best angle in the city, you'll find me sitting on the court shooting a basketball game. Sports photography quickly become a favorite of mine. I love the competition, the grit, the determination and the rush of adrenaline from getting "the shot". My photography journey started while shooting the sports my boys played and it continues now, including shooting for several local publications.

Time goes by fast...enjoy every second. Has anyone ever said that to you? I used to shrug that off but as I get older, and my boys are growing, well, you know. It's one of the truest statements out there. Life is a crazy journey . Before you know it, time has moved on and all you have left are the memories. Photographs are an amazing way to document the journey and all the steps that made you and your family, you! I want to help you capture all life's moments for you and save them for you to look back on forever.
